How to interpret the result
Counting days by hand fails at month ends and leap years, which is where deadlines slip. Ninety days from September 1 lands on November 30, not December 1, because September and October are 30 and 31 days long. The weekday output matters as much as the date: a deadline that lands on a Sunday changes what you actually have to do.
Date arithmetic follows the standard Gregorian calendar and does not account for leap seconds or calendar systems used before 1582.

Age in completed years only advances on the exact anniversary of the birth date. Someone born on March 15 is still one year younger than that on March 14, even though the calendar year has already changed: a source of frequent off-by-one confusion near a birthday.

How far back does the Gregorian calendar apply?
Most countries adopted it in 1582 or later, replacing the Julian calendar. Date arithmetic before that point can be off by several days depending on which calendar system and country is in question: a genuine historical complication, not a calculator error.
